Surgical Fellow
Dr. Sakkab completed a comprehensive Podiatry and Foot and Ankle Surgical residency program at Scripps Mercy Hospital, a Level-1 trauma center, in San Diego, CA. In addition to training at several centers in San Diego country, Dr. Sakkab completed his Chief Year of residency at Kaiser Permanente Sacramento Valley. His residency encompassed the entire spectrum of foot and ankle problems including non-surgical and surgical treatments.
Additionally, Dr. Sakkab is completing a foot and ankle surgical fellowship with Dr. McAlister at the Phoenix Foot & Ankle Institute. Dr. Sakkab is actively involved in research and education and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Sakkab believes in strong communication with his patients to help them fully understand the diagnosis, up-to-date treatment options, and recovery process. He is a devoted patient advocate and is focused on treating all patients as he would a member of his own family. He takes great pride in helping his patients recover from their foot and ankle problems to achieve their optimal level of physical health and function.
